Google Business Profile management and optimization
Your Google Business Profile is the listing that shows up on Google Maps and in the map results at the top of a search. I set it up properly, fill it with real photos of your business, and keep it active every week.
Why your Google profile matters more than your website
When someone searches for what you do plus "near me" or your city, Google shows a map with a short list of businesses above everything else. Most people pick from that list without ever scrolling to the websites below it.
Google says it picks those businesses based on three things: how relevant your profile is to the search, how close you are to the person searching, and how prominent your business is. You can't move your building, but relevance and prominence come down to a complete, active profile with real photos and steady reviews. That's the work I do.
Google Business Profile optimization
- Primary and secondary categories chosen to match how customers search
- Every service listed and described
- A description written for your business and your area
- Hours, holiday hours, attributes and booking link set correctly
- Products or service menu added where it fits
- Photos edited, captioned and uploaded
Why I come in person
Most agencies manage Google profiles remotely and work with whatever photos you send them. I come to your business and shoot 200 to 300 photos and some short video: the outside and signage so people recognize you, the inside so they know what to expect, your team, and the work itself.
I'm only on site for the shoot. The rest happens from my desk the same week, and the photo library becomes months of fresh posts. Every photo and caption is yours to use on social media, your website or anywhere else.
What's included every month
- Two Google posts a week from your own photo library
- Captions written for your business
- Alerts if your profile is edited or suspended
- A one-page monthly report: calls, direction requests, website visits, reviews and searches
- Full access to every photo and caption
How it works
1. Audit. Before the shoot I review your profile, your website, your listings and the businesses showing up around you, so the shoot covers what's actually missing.
2. Shoot. I come in, photograph your business and leave. Usually a couple of hours.
3. Rebuild. That same week your profile is fully optimized and your photos and posts are scheduled.
4. Keep it active. Two posts a week, review replies and a monthly report from then on.
Questions
Do I have to give you my Google password?
No. You add me as a manager on your profile. You stay the owner and can remove access any time.
How long until I see results?
Calls, direction requests and website clicks from your profile usually start moving within a month or two. Where you rank on the map depends on your competition and takes longer. I report honestly either way.
Can you guarantee I'll be in the top three?
No one honestly can. Distance from the searcher is part of how Google ranks the map. I guarantee the work: a complete profile, real photos, steady posts and more reviews.
What if my profile gets suspended?
I'll let you know right away and walk you through Google's reinstatement steps.
I already have a marketing agency. Can I still work with you?
Yes. Most agencies can't shoot your location. I handle the profile side and I'm happy to coordinate with whoever runs your ads or website.
Want a better Google profile?
Email me your business name and city. I'll look at your profile and tell you what I'd fix first.
