Citation building and local listing management
I get your business listed correctly on 100 to 200 websites like Yelp, Apple Maps and Bing, clean up the old and wrong ones, and keep them accurate.
What a citation is, in plain English
A citation is any website that lists your business name, address and phone number. Think Yelp, Apple Maps, Bing, Facebook, the Better Business Bureau, and directories built for your industry.
Google checks those sites to confirm your business is real and that your details are right. When your name, address or phone number is different on different sites, maybe from an old phone number or a past address, it creates doubt. When they all match, it builds trust.
Citation building services
- Your business listed on 100 to 200 websites
- Apple Maps, Bing, Yelp and Facebook profiles claimed and completed
- Submission to the data providers that feed hundreds of smaller sites
- Industry directories that matter for your type of business
- Every listing using the exact same name, address and phone
Local listing management
Listings don't stay accurate on their own. Data providers overwrite details, old information resurfaces, and duplicate listings appear. I keep an eye on your listings and fix anything that drifts.
This matters beyond Google too. Apple Maps powers Siri and iPhone map searches, and Bing's listings show up across Microsoft's search and AI tools.
What's included
- An audit of your current listings before anything changes
- Old addresses, phone numbers and duplicates cleaned up
- Ongoing upkeep so your details stay consistent
- Listing work summarized in your monthly report
Questions
Do I need this if I already have a Google profile?
Yes. Google uses other sites to double-check your profile. Consistent listings everywhere make your Google profile more trustworthy.
What does NAP mean?
Name, address and phone number. Keeping those exactly the same everywhere is the core of citation work.
I moved or changed my phone number. Can you fix the old listings?
Yes. That's one of the most common reasons to do this. I find the outdated listings and update or remove them.
How long do listing changes take?
Some sites update in days. Others pull from data providers and can take several weeks. I track it so nothing gets missed.
I don't have a public address. Can I still be listed?
Yes. Service area businesses can be listed without showing a street address on most major sites.
